Judicial remand of JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik till May 24 is unfortunate and condemnable. Issuance of summons by NIA to grandson of Syed Ali Geelani and the ED notice to the daughter of senior resistance leader Shabir Ahmed Shah are also condemnable.
At one point Government of India wanted to negotiate PEACE and SKY is the LIMIT option, with these leaders. Government of India has surrendered itself at the UN SC for a UN supervised free and impartial vote in Kashmir. After 15 January 1948, Kashmir has no accession with India. India has surrendered it for a UN supervised vote.
COMMENTS
Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on his visit to the family of Yasin Malik at Maisuma on Thursday 25 April 2019 has said Kashmir issue is purely a humanitarian and a political issue, and until this dispute is addressed politically, peace will remain a casualty in Kashmir and the subcontinent its hostage.
Kashmir is neither a humanitarian nor a political issue per se. We have damaged our case by interpreting the Kashmir case in a variety of manner.
There could be a number of HUMANITARIAN and POLITICAL issues. One of them is the return of Kashmiri Pandits. There is only one RIGHT OF SELF-DETERMINATION of any people.
Hurriyat leadership has defined the Kashmir case in Chapter II item 2 (i) of its Constitution adopted on 31 July 1993. Kashmir case is not an issue either. It is the Right of Self-Determination, pending a UN supervised VOTE.
Hurriyat needs to get it right
