It is highly disturbing to learn that a mafia is working to upload child pornography on social media sites. Fortunately, the Kerala Cyberdome has cracked down the mafia and arrested 20 people during Operation P-Hunt based on an alert from the Interpol. Equally disturbing is the fact that the teams seized the devices, including mobile phones, laptops, and computers with shocking videos and pictures of children. Many pictures are suspected to be of local girls also. Many persons from the state were also operating on the internet, viewing and distributing such material.
What could be the immediate factors that make men go for child pornography? It is indeed the unexploited sex that gives the viewers a high dose of libido oblivious of inherent dangers and these child porn watchers land in trouble once they outrage the modesty of girls under the impact of child porn watching. Also, the perpetrators or the abusers molesting girl children are some sort of mentally deranged satyrs who seldom get refined on normal punishments. So, the government must give special awareness program on the evils of sexual abusing of children at the school level. A girl child who undergoes sexual attack at a tender age will be a distraught girl and consequently, her whole life would be in peril. It would be impossible for her to lead a normal life as she would be a psychological wreck for her whole life. Deterrent punishment and awareness program against sexual abusement of children can put an end to the child molestation and child pornography.
