SRINAGAR The state High Court today directed the authorities to file an affidavit, indicating how many posts are vacant and how many are under proposal for the drug and food safety department.
Hearing a PIL regarding to curbing of the food adulteration, a division bench directed the principal secretary health and medical education to filed the personal affidavit.
The Court also directed the Secretary SSRB to ensure the selection of the post if any referred by the H&ME for the purpose of drug & food safety department.
The Court also directed the Finance Department to take final call regarding the proposal submitted by the H&ME department for strengthening and reorganization of certain posts for the food safety department.
The principal secretary who along with food safety commission and secretary SSRB and secretary ARI was present in the court said that a new proposal of 306 posts has been sent to finance department for concurrence which is still pending before it. The Court has pulled up the authorities for communication gap with regard to referring the posts to SSRB as the H&ME department informed the court that certain posts have been referred to SSRB but the official of SSRB denied.
The Court asked principal secretary to emphasize on filling up of vacant posts as also those which have been required as crores of rupees have been spent on the labs and are without manpower all,
