Peshawar: Pakistan’s provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will construct a temple or a community hall for the Hindu community of Peshawar, a minority lawmaker of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party announced on Thursday.
Ravi Kumar, a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, made the announcement while addressing a Holi celebration event organised by the local Hindu community here.
The provincial government has asked the members of the Hindu Rajput community in Peshawar to decide whether they want a temple or a community hall.
Congratulating the Hindu community on Holi, he said that the formal Holi celebration at the government level would be organised on March 30.
