SRINAGAR Rains lashed Kashmir Valley on Wednesday even as the local Meteorological (MeT) department here predicted more downpour till Thursday evening.
Deputy Director MeT, Mukhtar Ahmad said that the rains would continue to lash the Valley till Thursday evening. There is possibility of more light rains till Thursday evening as per the prediction, he said.
He said weather would remain mostly cloudy on Thursday, saying that weather conditions would improve across the Valley from Friday morning.
Ahmad added that there was no significant weather prediction till March 19, 2019 evening.
Meanwhile, the Srinagar-Jammu highway, the only surface link connecting Kashmir Valley with the rest of the world, would be open tomorrow for stranded traffic, authorities said on Wednesday.
According to traffic department official, only stranded vehicles shall be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar on Thursday.
