SRINAGAR A CRPF soldier shot himself dead after injuring two of his colleagues following heated exchange of words over some issue in a paramilitary camp at Pantha chowk in outskirts of Srinagar on Saturday night.
At around 9.25 p.m., there were some heated exchange of words between CRPF personnel Mukesh Babu of Madhya Pradesh with Ranjeet Tewari of Jharkhand and Jaafarudin Qureshi of Madya Pradesh on some issue upon which Mukesh fired upon them, injuring them both. The injured were shifted to armys 92 base hospital at Badamaibagh. Later, the sources said that Mukesh shot himself dead with his service Insas riffle and was found dead in the bathroom, news agency GNS quoting official sources reported.
A senior police officer confirmed the incident and said that cognizance has been taken.
