SRINAGAR Government forces on Wednesday morning launched a search operation at Bhaderwan area of Awantipora in south Kashmirs Pulwama district.
Reports said that a joint team of armys 55 RR, 44 RR, CRPF and SOG laid a siege at Bhaderwan, Awantipora today morning.
Sources said that the cordon was laid following inputs about the presence of some militants inside a hideout in the area.
A police officer also confirmed the incident and said that the operation was launched following inputs about the presence of some militants.
Meanwhile, Internet has been snapped in Awantipora police district in wake of the operation.
