SRINAGAR Police on Friday night arrested a 19-year-old youth after he allegedly made a failed bid to loot the ATM of ICICI bank in Pampore area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said the security guard of the ATM situated at Kadlibal, Pampore overpowered the youth when he struck in the ATM and tried to loot the money.
Station House Officer (SHO) concerned Nazir Ahmad said that they have taken the youth Asif Saleem Bhat (19), son of Saleem Bhat of Chandhar, Pampore, into custody.
“A case under FIR number 116/2018 u 457, 380, 511 RPC has been registered and further investigations initiated,” he said.
