SRINAGAR Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday told Peoples Democratic Party (PDP’s) Rajya Sabha member from north Kashmir Mir Mohammad Fayaz that government forces in the state have been directed to take all necessary steps for avoiding collateral damage during and after the encounters so that civilians are not killed in clash
Home Minister also gave an assurance to the MP Wednesday morning that steps will be taken to ensure peace in Kashmir.
Rajnath told him that the central government is in constant touch with the Governor’s administration and the state government has been asked to ensure restoration of peace and order in short time in the state.
The MP told the Home Minister that situation is going out of hand for the state government after the municipal and panchayat elections in the state.
