SRINAGAR Unknown persons on Saturday abducted a 32-year-old vendor from Brath Kalan village of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
News agency GNS reported that car-borne persons abducted Tariq Ahmad Ganie of Bomai from Brath Kalan crossing.
Superintendent of Police, Sopore Javid Iqbal said a case has been registered in this regard at the concerned police station.
“A hunt has been launched to trace out the abducted person,” Iqbal was quoted as having said by the news agency.
Two militants – both local residents – were killed in a gunfight with the government forces in the area yesterday morning.
