SRINAGAR Crime Branch Kashmir on Thursday claimed to have booked revenue officials and a land broker for duping people of their valuables. CB in a statement said that it received a complaint from one Humayun Ashraf Lone, stating therein that he has purchased a piece of land measuring one kanal situated at Mouza Rawal-Pora, Tehsil Budgam, from Farooq Ahmad Sofi, through land broker Nazir Ahmad Dar, son of Gh. Ahmad Dar of Parraypora, Sgr, in the year 2007 and to this effect a sale deed was executed on 11 April 2007 between vendor and vendees before the Court of Sub-Registrar Budgam and one Mohammad Altaf Chowdary is claiming to have purchased the same plot in the year 2008 from the same land broker.
A preliminary enquiry was initiated at Crime Branch Kashmir, Srinagar. During the course of enquiry it was established that the land broker Nazir Ahmad Dar got the said land mutated under mutation No. 9615 but the same plot of land under Khasra No. 1612 was sold to another person namely Altaf Ahmad Wani @ Chowdary R/O Hari Singh High Street Srinagar by executing another sale deed in the Court thereby executing two sale deeds for one and the same plot of land, the statement said.
In this way, the suspect Nazir Ahmad Dar (land broker), son of Gh. Mohammad Dar of Parray-Pora Baghat, in connivance with the revenue officials cheated the complainant Humayun Ashraf Lone as well as Altaf Ahmed Wani by grabbing their hard earned money, it added.
