SRINAGAR At least two labourers died after a slab collapsed in Langate area of frontier district Kupwara. Seven others were also injured in the incident.
Of the injured, four were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment. As per reports slab of a commercial complex building collapsed and one of the labourers who was identified as Shams-u-Din Mir of Langate and was working at the construction site died on spot.
Of the eight others who were injured, four critically injured were referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment, officials said. However, another labourer later succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to two. The second labourer who died in the incident was non-local.
