SRINAGAR The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has submitted a proposal to the government for announcement of winter vacations for government and recognised private schools from December 6.
The proposal has been submitted amid the demand from parents for announcement of winter vacation for schools particularly primary classes.
In the proposal, the DSEK has stated that winter vacations for classes up to 8th classes may be announced from December 6 to March 02. The DSEK has also proposed that winter vacation for classes 9th to 12th from December 17 to February 23.
Director school education Kashmir, G N Itoo said the proposal was yet to be approved by the government.
I have put forth a proposal but it is yet to be approved, he said.
