JAMMU Director General of Police Dilbag Singh has said that the overall situation in Kashmir was improving.
The situation in the Kashmir valley is improving and in the coming days it will further get better, Singh said here, on the sidelines of a function.
He said that the top militants who were killed in the past operations including the LeT and Hizb-ul-Mujaheedin District Commanders, who were involved in the killings of civilian, army and police personnel.
I am sure that situation will further improve in the coming days, he said.
We will try our best that no innocent civilian gets injured or suffer during counter-insurgency operations, said the police chief adding that anybody, who will try to disturb peace in the region will be dealt with iron hands.
On detention of three Kashmiri youth from Pathankot on Sunday evening, Singh said, we have verified their credentials and it has been found that they have mo militancy related links.
He, however, said that the police, army, para-military forces and intelligence agencies are working with full co-operation. The DGP also said that all security measures have been taken in view of ongoing Panchayat polls in the state.
