SRINAGAR A large number of leaders of the Hurriyat Conference and Tehreek-e-Hurriyat (TeH) took out a protest rally here against the killing of TeH Anantang, district president, Mir Hafizullah, by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday.
The protest rally was taken out at Abiguzar Srinagar and the leaders raised pro-freedom slogans. The Hurriyat activists were seen holding banners and placards reading, stop atrocities and bloodshed in Kashmir.
Strongly condemning what they termed as a cowardly act, the Hurriyat Confernced leaders said that such barbaric and inhuman acts prove beyond doubt the brutal and inhuman mindset of the oppressor.
Those who took part in the protest rally include Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Mohammad Rafiq Uwasi, Bilal Sidiqui, Mehraj-ud-din Rabani, Rafiq Ahmad Ganie, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Khawaja Firdous, Syed Bashir Indrabi, Rameez Raja, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Syed Saleem Zargar, Mohammad Maqbllo Maghami, Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, Imran Ahmad, Abdul Rashid, Tawseef Ahmad, jan Mohammad, Gowhar Ahmad, Abdul Rashid, Sajad Ahmad, Irfan Ahmad, Mukhtar Ahmad Sofi, Asif Jan, Mukhtar Ahmad, Mohammad Qasim and Ashiq Ahmad.
They said that wiping away pro-freedom personalities and creating a fear psychosis among their families can in no way be tolerated and any conscious and civilized person with human heart cannot remain silent.
These extra judicial killings are carried out by well nit and well organized plan to send shock waves through the pro-freedom camp and these killers and their masters pretend to be innocent. Indian agencies very cunningly put the blame on un-identified gunmen and have been creating havoc for the last 30 years throughout the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The further said that under the patronage of agencies and forces these guns have long back been recognized by the Kashmiris and people cannot be deceived by government narratives.
Leaders said that Indian military might and its henchmen have miserably failed to contain the pro-freedom sentiment and peoples commitment that is why they have stooped low and prepared a kill list prepared 2 years ago so that sincere and dedicated leaders, workers and sympathizers are gunned down in cold-blood.
They reiterated their stand that such inhuman acts can in no way suppress us. Meanwhile Hurriyat Conference lead by its chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, said that a delegation of the Hurriyat and Awami Action Committee (AAC) led by senior leader Muhammad Shafi Khan and comprising Muhammad Yousuf Bhat, Muhammad Sidiq Hazar, Nazir Ahmed Sofi, Muzaffar Ahmed Tak visited Badoora, Achabal, to express solidarity with the family members of slain TeH leader. The delegation strongly condemned the killing of Hafizullah Mir at the hands of unidentified gunmen.
While speaking over phone with the Ghulam Qadir Mir, the brother of slain Hafizullah Mir, Mirwaiz expressed his heartfelt condolence and sympathy and paid rich tributes to the slain. Hafizullah was a great soldier of Kashmir movement, who remained steadfast towards his mission till his last breath, Mirwaiz said.
