SRINAGAR A spate of violent attacks on senior citizens in the capital and a recent burglary during the extended holidays of Diwali in a housing society in Ghaziabad has brought us back to the question of safety and security.
News headlines about safety of senior citizens, young couples are common.
Untoward incidents about both pain us deeply. Invention and technology is meant to make life easy. Manual security and monitoring can ensure a certain level of safety. However, we need a 24/7 system that will never get tired and cover all the aspects.
Security is a concern for both. Alarming increase in crimes against the elderly and women in Delhi and other big cities points at a grim reality.
What is the way to tackle this menace? Is security apparatus and Compound walls,High security grill, the remedy? Or Closed- Circuit Camera (CCTV) with extra hard disk to have greater storage – the answer? So, what else can be done?
South Asias largest expo on security, IFSEC will display Home Security Technologies and their optimal use to make life easier. The Expo commences 5th to 7th Dec at New Delhi.
As senior citizens live in single floor – single homes while the younger generation prefers housing societies. A technology that ensures safety for both is essential, such solutions shall be at display, said Yogesh Mudras, MD UBM India while elaborating about secured homes technologies.
Women and Senior citizens need monitoring with back-up system. Surveillance Memories should have additional storage support. Only awareness about technology can make life easy otherwise a latest technology would be available but may not be used. The exhibitors with an array of security apparatus will make us aware of their usage.
Angelica Jacob of Honeywell said We understand women, children and senior citizens are the ones who stay at home for longer periods when younger lot is out for work, the risk is higher of them getting into trouble. Security system will be displayed and showcased has been designed to keep these things in mind. The storage back plus privacy and a non-stop monitoring has been offered with latest technology
