SRINAGAR The Hurriyat (M) Tuesday strongly denounced the use of bullets and pellets on youth in Kashmir.
In a statement, it criticised the use of bullets and protesters at Nadigam, Shopian, today where more than 20 youth including three girls sustained grave injuries in the action by the forces. The spokesman termed the use of force as barbaric, stating that the forces enjoy full impunity and they feel proud while using bullets and pellets on unarmed protesters. The Hurriyat Conference has urged upon the world community to rise to the occasion and take strong note of the ever rising graph of human rights violations in Kashmir.
The separatist organisation also strongly condemned the killing of resistance leader and Anantnag district president of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Mir Hafizullah by unidentified gunmen. Hurriyat (M) spokesman said that the slain leader had brought to fore through media, repeated threats and intimidations to him on phone and suspicious movement of unknown people around his house soon after his release from prison after two years last month.
In past also, many resistance leaders were killed by the anti-movement people. But their aim at intimidating leadership or to force them to give up on their principles and ideology failed and will never succeed. These elements will face nothing but defeat as they cant stop the momentum of the peoples ongoing struggle on all fronts, he said.
He said that the slain resistance leader deserves tribute for his steadfastness and commitment towards the movement having spent years in prison and facing immense difficulties.
He continued to be as a true solider of the Kashmir movement till his last breath.
The spokesman strongly condemned the arrest of JKLF chief Muhammad Yasin Malik and termed it as highly undemocratic and arbitrary and against principles of humanity. He said by arresting Malik those claiming to hold elections in the name of democracy stand completely exposed.
He paid tributes to four armed youth who were killed in Nadigam area of Shopian including Inamul Haq, Abid Nazir, Mehrajduin and Basharat Ahmed and sated that their sacrifices will not go in vain.
The spokesman said that history is witness that no nation can be suppressed by use of military might.
TeH Leaders Murder Gruesome: Jamaat
The Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday said that the killing of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat leader, Hafiz-ullah Mir of Akingam by unknown gunmen at his home clearly depicts that this series of mysterious killings is a part of a well-designed plan hatched in order to suppress the genuine voice of the oppressed people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, Jamaat vehemently condemned the gruesome murder of a political leader at his home and critically injuring his wife. It demanded an impartial probe into all these inhuman acts by some international judicial commission so as to unveil the real culprits behind this vicious deign. Jamaat also extended its total solidarity with the bereaved family and wished an early recovery to the slain leaders wife.
It further condemned the indiscriminate firing by government forces on a mob at Nadigam Shopian in which amongst others two sisters were also injured.
Tarigami Condemns TeH Leaders Killing
Condemning the killing of Tehreek-i-Hurriyat leader, Hafizullah Mir, by unknown gunmen in Acchabal, Anantnag senior CPI(M) leader and MLA Kulgam, Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami has said that such killings are unacceptable.
The killing of unarmed civilian is unfortunate and must be condemned by everybody in one voice. Whether a civilian is killed by the bullet from one side or the other, it is loss of precious human life, Tarigami said. He expressed his heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family.
TeH Leaders Killing Brutal: JKDFP
The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) has strongly condemned what it termed the brutal and inhuman killing of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president for Anantnag, Mir Hafizullah. A party spokesperson said that it was the handiwork of hidden hands who have been killing pro-freedom people over the years.
Kashmiri people are being terrorized and intimidated by killings and arrests and the murder of Mir Hafizullah is part of the same conspiracy, he said. Paying tributes to him, the spokesperson said that his role in the ongoing freedom struggle will always be remembered. He termed the sacrifices of Mir Hafizullah as inspiring and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family. JKDFP spokesperson also paid tributes to armed youth killed in a gunfight at Nadigam Shopian.
He also condemned the use of force against the unarmed civilians and injuries to many including girls at the hands of government forces.
