Security of children has been a huge issue due to this very reason. Surveillance is an option. However in schools, while in transit how to ensure the safety of children without compromising on the privacy of the children and their families also need to be considered.

With the Delhi Cabinet recently approving the installation of CCTV cameras in government schools to ensure safety of students, child security and surveillance is a trending subject in the industry currently. CCTV Monitoring in vantage points, Wall Cams providing birds eye view of the school campus or residential complexes, entrance automation, hidden cameras with inbuilt alerts and GPS tracking of school buses and vehicles form a part of the surveillance as do very significantly —
tracking and monitoring childrens digital footprints. As South Asias largest expo on security, IFSEC will display these technologies and their optimal usage.
Further he added, “When it comes to the subject of child security, however, we need to stringently discern between what constitutes genuine security for children and whatborders on spying. After all, over monitoring invariably distorts the personalities of impressionable youngsters, disallowing their right to privacy and making them fearful and suspicious the opposite of what safety and security products ought to achieve!
