SRINAGAR Life in some parts of Kashmir Valley was disrupted due to restrictions and shutdown on Friday.
A complete shutdown was observed by people in Tral and Pampore towns of South Kashmirs Pulwama district, Arizal Khansahab area of Central Kashmirs Budgam district and Sopore town in North Kashmirs Baramulla district.
Shutdown was observed in Tral for the 3rd consecutive day against the killing of two Jaish-e-Muhammad militants while Pampore town remained shut against the killing of a local militant Amin Rasool, who along with another militant Mukhtar Ahmed Khan of Brass Budgam was killed in Zagoo Arizal area.
Parts of Khansahab remained shut against these killings.
Life in Sopore town was disrupted in wake of restrictions due to the killing of local militant on Thursday night in Sagipora Handwara. After the killing of Naseer Ahmed Teli of Armpora Sopore, authorities had decided to close educational institutions, block internet service and impose restrictions in parts of the Sopore town.
Braving incessant rains thousands of people including women on Friday morning attended the funeral prayers of slain Tehreek Ul Mujahideen militant Naseer Teli at his native village Gulabad Arampora. An eyewitness said that thousands of people braving rains assembled in Chinkipora area of Sopore to take part in the last rites of Teli.
A large number of mourners shouted pro-freedom slogans while carrying Telis body in a procession to the martyrs graveyard for burial, he said.
Despite rains clashes erupted between the government forces and people at Armpora Sopore.
