SRINAGAR Hurriyat Conference-M Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Tuesday defied house detention and tried to march towards Lal Chowk to hold sit-in protest called by Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) against Kulgam killings and ‘unabated State violence’ against people of Kashmir.
In a statement the spokesperson of the party said that Mirwaiz defied his house detention and along with his supporters tried to march towards Lal Chowk, but was arrested and lodged at Police station Nigeen.
Pertinently JRL had called for Lal Chowk March against Kulgam killings and ‘unabated State violence against people’ of Kashmir.
