SRINAGAR Former PDP leader Tariq Hameed Karras wife has lost from ward 31 of the Srinagar municipal corporation.
Asifa Tariq Karra of Congress lost by a margin of 18 votes to Independent candidate Fancy Jan from Lawaypora ward.
According to figures, Asifa polled 501 votes while Fancy got 519 votes in the recently held civic polls.
Karra was PDP leader and member of parliament from Srinagar. After resigning from Lok Sabha seat and he joined Congress in February 2017. (KNS)
