SRINAGAR A large number of multiple purpose health employees working in Jammu and Kashmir health department took out a protest in Srinagar to press for their demand to seek implementation of recruitment rules.
The protest was taken out under the banner of Multi Purpose Health Workers Association and the protesting employees demanded increase in their pay scale.
The protesting employees said that they are working in the health department for last 27-years and were recruited through SSRB. Since then we havent been promoted.
The protesting employees appealed the government to upgrade their pay scale.
We appeal the state government to promote us and upgrade our pay scale as per 1992 recruitment rules, said, Association President, Showket Ahmad.
The protesters first assembled at Civil Secretariat and later marched to Press enclave in Srinagar. The employees threatened to go on an indefinite strike if their demands are not fulfilled.
