SRINAGAR In a shocking incident a Dar-ul-Uloom teacher thrashed a minor student mercilessly for not standing correctly in the row while offering prayers.
The incident has occurred at Dar-ul-Uloom Kounsariya located at Dachigam area of Srinagar city while the victim is Asif Ahmed, a resident of Kokarnag Anantnag.
The video of the victim student which was posted on social media has gone viral. In this video, the kid is narrating the ordeal with his fractured arm and bruises on his body.
Talking to CNS, the uncle of the victim said that they had admitted Asif in the seminary to hifz (memorise) Holy Quran but little did they know that the teacher instead of teaching will thrash him mercilessly.
We admitted Asif in the hospital wherefrom he was discharged after giving first aid, he added.
We wont lodge a police case but request the teachers to be kind towards children, he said.
