SRINAGAR For the 20th time in a row, Advocate Mian Abdul Qayoom was Monday elected as president of Jammu and Kashmir Bar Association. He was elected unopposed.
Secretary Election Commissioner Jammu and Kashmir High Court Bar Association in a notification said that October 1, 2018 was the last date of the withdrawal of nomination papers for the contesting candidates and that none withdrew on the last day.
Pro-Hurriyat Qayoom was the only candidate who had filed the nomination papers for the presidents post, thus wining the elections unopposed.
