SRINAGAR The government has warned those officers who are not complying with orders of transfer and has asked them to join new posting by September 10 to avoid action under rules.
It has been brought to the notice of the Government that certain officers transferred in the recent past have not joined their new places of postings and are continuing at their previous places of postings without any authorization. The matter has been viewed seriously, reads a government order issued here.
It is enjoined upon the officers concerned who have been transferred under different Government Orders in the recent past but have not joined their new places of postings, to do so without any further delay by 10.09.2018, failing which action as warranted under rules will follow, the order added.
Reshuffle In Civil Admin On Cards
After transfer of Director General of Police on Thursday, reshuffle in upper and middle rung administration is going to take place soon to make the government more effective, local news agency KNS reported.
Reliable sources said that the possible reshuffle is in view of holding smooth urban local bodies and Panchayat polls.
Sources said that on the directions of the Governor, some upright officers would be likely shifted to the important postings.
The former Governor NN Vohara had shaken- up the administration soon after he had taken over the reins of governance in the state following imposition of governor’s rule.
Sources in the Raj Bahawan told KNS that Transparency in the government is the top priority of the Governor Satya Paul Malik. He (Governor) wants to ensure that the common masses have accessible, Transparent, accountable government, one of the officials said.
Sources said that Governor wants to place the right men at right places. The idea behind the possible reshuffle is to make the administration more efficient and responsive to the people so that concrete steps would be taken towards the development, sources maintained.
Sources said that there were complaints that several officials at the lower level do not serve the general public properly and because of which the public is suffering.
Sources said that the Governor has directed all the administrative secretaries to provide transparent, effective and accountable governance to the people.
Governor is serious towards the accountability in the administration and is personally going through each and every biodata, one of the senior officials of the government said on the condition of anonymity.
Sources said that the Governor has sought a list of officers along with their tenure from the authorities. The state advisory council (SAC) headed by Governor N. N. Vohra want to make the state administration transparent and accountable at middle- rung also and is likely to go for a reshuffle in this regard, sources maintained.
Some secretaries, DCs and directors are likely to be transferred. The officers who are efficient will be given prime postings, the source said. These all steps will be taken on the directives of Governor, he said.
