SRINAGAR Former militant of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit on Monday has been slapped with Public Safety Act (PSA) in Srinagar district and was shifted to Kathua district jail.
Official sources told GNS that Manzoor Ahmad Khan son of Ghulam Nabi Khan of Dhobi Mohalla area of Batmaloo was arrested last month by police station Batmaloo over anti-national activities and was booked under the PSA today by the district magistrate Srinagar vide DMS/PSA/15/2018/Sgr.
A police officer also confirmed the detention of Khan under PSA.
The officer said that Khan would recycle into militancy every time he was released on at least four occasions and as such has been detained under the PSA.
The officer said that Khan was later shifted to Kathua jail in Jammu region for further lodgment.
On Saturday last, authorities detained three persons including Zahoor Ahmad Bhat, brother of JKLF founder Mohd Maqbool Bhat.
