Workshop On NAD Held At NIT Srinagar

SRINAGAR One-day Training Workshop was held today at National Institute of Technology Srinagar in collaboration with NSDL, New Delhi.

NAD is a digital interface to issue Academic Certificate to the student in and online and in a secure manner. It also serves students by facilitating online verification on academic certificates.

NAD is 24×7 online store house of all Academic awards duly digitized and lodged by the Academic Institutions. NAD not only ensures easy access to retrieval of Academic award but also validates and guarantees its authenticity and safe storage. The student can himself/herself view or download his/her academic award after entering into NAD system.

NAD will have effective deterrence to fake and forged certificates and will lead to proactive, efficient and transparent administration.

The training programme was attended by NAD Cell Incharge/ representatives of Kashmir University, Islamic University of Science and Technology, Central University of Kashmir, SKUAST Kashmir, Cluster University Srinagar, JKBOSE. HODs of the departments and Deans of faculties of NIT Srinagar also participated in the workshop. The workshop was inaugurated by Director NIT Srinagar, Prof. Rakesh Sehgal, who spoke on the importance of digitization in contemporary times and also spoke about its importance for future generation. Registrar NIT Srinagar, Dr. Nisar A Mir deliberated on the flow of NAD and responsibilities of various stake holders.
