SRINAGAR A teenage boy who was found in an unconscious state on Saturday in Nowpora area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district, passed away at SKIMS Soura here.
Zeeshan Rafiq Banday, 13, son of Mohammad Rafiq Banday of Krankshivan Colony, Sopore was found lying in an unconscious state near Nowpora area and was immediately taken to sub-district hospital Sopore for treatment.
The doctors after treating upon the boy referred him to SKIMS Soura for further treatment where he later died.
Zeeshan, a class 9th student at Government Boys School, Chankhen, Sopore, according to his relatives had probably a scuffle with a group of students.
Block Medical Officer, Sopore, Dr Mohammad Sami told GNS that they received the boy in an unconscious state. The boy has no visible injury marks on his body, he said.
A police officer meanwhile told GNS that that police has started investigations to ascertain the cause of death. (GNS)
