SRINAGAR While appealing Kashmir youth not to rush towards encounter sites, Director General of Police SP Vaid on Friday said that police are talking to army and paramilitary forces to make operations better so that civilian killings are stopped in Kashmir.
Vaid said it pains them to see young lives are being lost in this way.
We too feel pained when such killings happen but we have already appealed youth not to rush towards encounter sites. Why to pelt army with stones? This is our own army why this bloodshed?” asked Vaid.
The police chief said that they also feel the pain when a family loses its member. We want youth not to come near the encounter sites and must not indulge in stone-pelting, he said.
Vaid also said that they are trying to stop the civilian killings during gunfights and are in constant talks with the army and paramilitary CRPF in this regard.
