SRINAGAR Governor N.N. Vohra held extensive discussions with B.B. Vyas, Chief Secretary, to review all major matters which were pending approval of the Chief Minister and the Cabinet, when the change of Government took place.
Governor decided several important matters including a few pending postings and transfers. As regards matters which are to be considered and decided by the State Cabinet, the Governor approved the establishment of the State Administrative Council and asked Chief Secretary to instruct the concerned Administrative Secretaries to finalize, within the next three days, all cases which require to be submitted to the Council.
SAC Constituted
Governor NN Vohra Thursday constituted the State Administrative Council to decide on the crucial administrative matters.
Sanction is hereby accorded to the constitution of State Administrative Council (SAC) which shall comprise Governor (Chairman) and his Advisors (as Members), reads an order issued by GAD.
The SAC shall consider and dispose of the cases mentioned in the Second Schedule of the Jammu and Kashmir Government Business Rules or such other matters as the Governor may direct to be placed before it.
Chief Secretary shall function as Secretary to the State Administrative Council.
The Administrative Secretary of the concerned Department may be invited to the meetings of the State Administrative Council as may be required from time to time.
