KUPWARA The Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh today visited the North Kashmirs Kupwara district and held meetings with various delegations here at Dak Bangalow.
The Union Home Minister was accompanied by Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta, Union Minister of State for PMO, Dr. Jitender Singh, Minister for Social Welfare Sajad Gani Lone, MLA Kupwara Bashir Ahmad Dar, Chief Secretary BB Vyas, DG Police S.P. Vaid, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Khalid Jahangir and other concerned. The Union Home Minister interacted with delegations from various areas of the district and listened to their demands. He assured them that all of the projected issues would be looked into. (CNS)
On Rajnaths visit, Kupwara turned into fortress
Kupwara district on Friday was virtually turned into a fortress during the visit of Union home minister Rajnath Singh. Reports said that all roads leading to the venue were sealed and no public movement was allowed. Security establishment had established checkpoints at an entry and exit points leading to the venue.
