SRINAGAR Dineshwar Sharma, Government of India’s Special Representative for Dialogue in J&K, called on Governor N.N. Vohra and Chief Minister Mhbooba Mufti here on Wednesday.
Governor and Sharma held extensive discussions regarding the crucial importance of maintaining peace and normalcy in the State; the announcement of unilateral Cease Fire on the eve of Ramadan; the recurring ceasefire violations from across the IB and LoC and other important issues.
Meanwhile, during the meeting with the CM, overall situation in the State, particularly after the announcement of the Ramadhan Ceasefire by the Centre, came up for discussion.
Sharma apprised the Chief Minister about his recent interactions with a cross-section of society in different areas and the situation along the borders in the State.
