SrinagarAt J&K Bank, the commercial interests have always been subordinate to the emotions people associate with this bank. The key factor in the success of the Bank has been its sensitive approach towards the financial needs of people of J&K State besides their convenience.
Chairman and CEO J&K Bank Parvez Ahmed made these remarks while inaugurating the new premises of Zonal Office Central-II here at Zainakote Industrial Estate in presence of the banks Executive President Vagesh Chander, Zonal Head Kashmir Central-II, Karanjit Singh, Vice-Presidents and other senior officers, members of Zainakote Industrial Estate Owners Association amid a large gathering of local valuable customers, senior citizens and local businessmen.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Parvez Ahmed said, It gives me immense pleasure to dedicate this newly constructed building in the service of people. It has always been the endeavour of the Bank to provide state-of-the-art banking facilities under one roof to people.
Chairman also inaugurated an on-site ATM on the occasion.
The new building was supposed to house the Zainakote Business Unit also, however, responding to the local sentiments Chairman made an announcement on the spot that the said business unit shall continue to function from its current premises.
Keeping in view the accessibility and comfort of locals, Zainakote branch shall operate from its old premises, he said.
Furthermore, specifically catering to the banking needs of Industrial Estate Owners, the new premises shall house an Industrial Business Unit.
Taking the business-specific needs of the industrial estate owners into consideration, we have decided to establish a full-fledged and state-of-the-art industrial branch here in this building, Chairman said.
Later, the Chairman held an elaborate meeting with the Industrial estate owners and other clients from the concerned Zone. He was apprised of the range of services offered by the bank to the diverse clientele besides issues faced by the local businessmen.
Addressing the audience, he said, Both J&K Bank and people of state share a reciprocal relationship and are inter-dependent on each other. I request all stakeholders to join hands together in further strengthening this bond.
I am here to listen to the feedback of our services and hear your suggestions to improve them, he added.
Earlier, Zonal Head Kashmir Central-II, Karanjit Singh apprised the Chairman and others present about the business profile of the Zone, which currently, he said, has 73 branches, 7 Offices and 78 ATMs spread across two districts.
