This is not the first time CM Mehbooba Mufti has shown that she is the sole leader of the PDP to determine who/what is the best for the state and the people of the state. The sacking of states finance minister Dr Haseeb Drabu reveals a lot about the internal bickerings in the party.
Political space created by PDP is threatened because of selfishness of certain of its politicians. But being a member of a political party one must follow the ideology the party believes in. Like RSS-BJP.
I dont know anything personally about Mr. Haseeb Drabu but he was a well-known economist and an Ex-Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Bank who bought big change in the banking sector. His achievements were not restricted to the banking sector only, but also in the states political system. I believe he was key person in maintaining the PDP-BJP collation for past three years. He also made several key changes in the financial sector of the state, but when youre a part of familist political party, you must understand from the inception that your growth is subject to the happiness of your leader.
I believe there are no shortcuts in politics. A precise politician can never survive and succeed unless he thinks differently and if he succeeds to apply different policies then he will gradually grow. Politics is a full-time passion where no one can aspire to be other than a politician. In present day politics, many bests from other fields of life try their luck but most of them fail. Only a few with great learning skills and traits of adaptability succeeded to sustain and make a mark.
But, when a person becomes a politician, after coming from different walks of life and is sacked only because he doesnt greet his bosses, this hurts a lot. This is the only thing I believe in that people couldnt change the system because our political system is made up of such a composite structure that once you enter into it you have to follow it and if you disagree with it, you will be kicked.
Anyways, the recent abrupt departure of Dr Haseeb Drabu from the ruling party of Jammu & Kashmir has cleared it again that one cant win from system in this countrys political system! And this vulgar dismiss of Dr Haseeb Drabu doesnt surprise me because I believe that the reason he was sacked was just a card which the system played with him for fighting against system!
I always believe only a good political system can maintain peace in valley but I always wonder how we can get rid of from familist politics and unpleasant political system in this country?
