SrinagarAkif Ahmads lone goal proved to be the difference between the two sides as Jammu and Kashmir Bank edged past Real Kashmir Football Club in the summit clash to win the 1st Maharaja Hari Singh Memorial Gold Cup Football Tournament.
The final played between two powerhouses of J&K football was played at GGM Science College Ground Jammu on Tuesday. The summit clash between two evenly matched sides saw players giving their everything on the ground in their bid to get better off each other.
Both teams exhibited tight defence skills and would rue many chance that went begging during the course of the high voltage encounter. It was JK Banks star striker Akif Ahmad who proved to be decisive player of the final scoring only goal of the match. Either side of his title winning goal, there were desperate attempts by both sides to get on the board but to no avail. The final whistle from the referee had JK Bank in-front by 1-0 to take home the trophy.

Ever since its brief hiatus, JK Bank have been on a roll winning almost all major silverwares in the J&K football circuit and prevailing over its toughest rival in the pressure game should give fans lot of joy.
