Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir High Court has quashed detention orders under Public Safety Act against three detainees and ordered their immediate release from the preventive custody if not required in any other case.
A bench of Justice M K Hanjura passed the orders on a petitions filed by the detainees after hearing their counsel including Wajid Haseeb, B. A. Tak and Neelofar Masood.
The detainees whose PSA orders were quashed include Umar Rashid Wani son of Abdul Rashid Wani of Khudwani Kulgam, Mohammad Musaib Kanwaloo son of Ali Mohammad Kanwaloo of Nowpora, Kalan Bonpora, Sopore and one Ashaq Hussain Ganie alias Ashaq MLA son of Ghulam Mohammad Ganie of Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla.
