SrinagarThe Jammu and Kashmir High Court has sought details by the end of this month from principal district and sessions judges about the criminal cases against incumbent parliamentarians from the state.
The Registrar General Sanjay Dhar has sent a communication to PD&SJs of Anantnag, Bandipora, Baramulla, Bhaderwah (Doda), Budgam, Ganderbal. Jammu, Kathua, Kargil, Kishtwar, Kulgam, Kupwara, Ramban, Leh, Poonch, Pulwama, Rajouri, Reasi, Samba, Shopian, Srinagar and Udhampur.
In this connection, you are requested to furnish information pertaining of your district on the prescribed format in a consolidated form on or before November 30 positively, the Registrar General said.
The details sought shall include information name of the police station, criminal case number, section of law under which case has been filed and status of the case, whether under investigation, trial stage or dispose of.
The communication follows letter from C. K. Reejonia, Deputy Secretary to the Government of India, Ministry of Law and Justice (Department of Justice) on November 15.
