BaramullaA couple of days after Government framed the policy for regularization of Casual Labourers in different government departments, some officials in Power Development Department at Sub-Division Pattan in North Kashmir have illegally appointed their relatives as daily wagers.
A group of Casual Labourers working in Power Development Department at Sub-Division Pattan assembled here in Press Enclave on Tuesday and alleged that a couple of officials want to deprive them from their jobs and has adjusted their relativesillegally.
We have been working in the department from past 14 years. The recent Cabinet decision raised some hopes but at the same time, few officials in our Sub-Division have adjusted their own men after the recent cabinet announcement, they told news agency CNS and appealed authorities to get the records verified before proceeding ahead.
When we raised hue and cry, the officials stopped our salaries. We appeal PDD authorities to look into the matter, they said. (CNS)
