SrinagarNational Investigation Agency (NIA) has summoned the grandson of Hizbul Mujahideen chief Syed Salahuddin in funding case.
Sources said that Muzamil Ahmad Khan S/o Nazir Ahmad Khan of Daharmuna Budgam has been summoned for questioning by NIA on October 28 (Saturday). Muzamil is the son of Salahuddins elder daughter.
Pertinently, NIA has arrested Salauddins son Syed Shahid Yousuf and had raided his house in Soibugh area of central Kashmirs Budgam district.
During the raid, NIA seized 5 mobile phones, two hard discs, one laptop and ‘incriminating documents’ from the house of Shahid
Notably, a Delhi court On Thursday sent Shahid to a seven-day NIA custody.
Shahid was arrested Tuesday in New Delhi by the agency and is accused of receiving and collecting funds through international wire money transfer over the years.
Meanwhile, Hurriyat Conference (G) Chairman Syed Ali Geelani has strongly condemned the raiding the house of Syed Salah u Din and summoning his grandson, Muzamil Ahmad Khan to Delhi by the NIA.
Terming the summoning and raid of UJC chiefs residence as an act of political vendetta, Geelani said and that Muzamil Ahmad Khan is a student and such coercive actions are aimed at destroying his educational career.
