SrinagarGovernor N.N. Vohra felicitated Master Bilal Ahmad Dar, who has been appointed as Brand Ambassador of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, in recognition of his missionary endeavours for the cleaning of the dying Wular lake. Master Dar has been voluntarily cleaning the Wular lake for the past several years. He was accompanied by Sh. Abid Rashid Shah, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, who had been requested to enable Dar to be brought to Srinagar.
Emphasising the high importance of maintaining cleanliness in and around our surroundings and rejuvenating our dying water bodies, Governor appreciated the dedication with which Master Dar has been working with high devotion.
Governor presented Sh. Dar a cheque of Rs. 10,000 to recognise his valuable contribution to maintain cleanliness in the Wular Lake and requested Dy Commissioner Shah to assess and advise how Master Dars future growth and development could be supported.
