SrinagarDirector Youth Services and Sports Department Shiekh Fayaz Ahmed Tuesday stated that the online registration to take part in Lets Play football tourney will begin from October 26, a statement from DYSS said.
According to the statement, Fayaz has impressed upon all those students and non-students of J&K State who want to take part in the tourney to get themselves registered online. The department has come up with an online web portal-www.letusplayjk.com- for aspirants to get registered.
Fayaz also said that two control rooms one each at Srinagar and Jammu have been established for the smooth conduct of the tournament and any information pertaining to the same can be obtained by getting in touch with the mentioned control rooms on Tele-fax 01942310301 (Srinagar) ,01912544089 (Jammu), 7006281186(WhtsApp), Email: [email protected].
Shiekh Fayaz stated that the process of registration will conclude on November 6 so the interested youth should do the same within the stipulated time. He informed that Zonal Physical Education Officers at Zonal Level and District Youth Services and Sports Officers at the district levels can also be contacted for the registration.
While providing the details about the sports extravaganza, Director YS&S said that the mega championship in Football Lets Play which is being conducted under Khelo India and was awarded by the Govt. of India Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports to the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K was kicked off by Minister for IT/TE/Youth Services and Sports, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, at TRC Astro Turf Ground a few days before. He said that about 77,824 boys and girls from 199 zones of 22 Districts of the state are expected to participate in the mega championship.
