Srinagar: An army porter was killed and a teenager girl sustained injuries after Pakistani forces allegedly resorted unprovoked firing along LoC in Uri’ sector of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
“One porter Mohammad Abbas, (22), resident of Kamalkot (Baramulla) employed with Army in Uri Sector and the girl, Nasreena Bano of Marian village in Kamalkote injured after Pakistani violates ceasefire along the LoC”, an army spokesman said.
He said that both the injured were immediately shifted to nearby hospital where army porter was declared brought dead on arrival.
He said that the soldiers manning the fence strongly retaliated the shelling.
