KargilAs part of its ‘Vision 2020’ programme to free Kargil from diseases, Baqariya Health Care and Research Centre, (BHCRC) Kargil began its Mission Hepatitis-B Free Kargil with a massive campaign at TFC Grounds here on Wednesday.
BHCRC is the health wing of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust.
Syed Basharat Bukhari, Minister for Horticulture Govt. of J&K was the chief guest on the occasion. Others who were present included Chairman Legislative Council Haji Anayat Ali, MLA Kargil Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, M.L.C and Vice President Cultural Academy J&K , Mr, Zafar Iqbal Manhaas, Commissioner Secretary Horticulture Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Director Horticulture Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Qadiri, Deputy Commissioner/CEO LAHDC Kargil Haji Gulzal Hussain, Chairman IKMT Shiekh Sadiq Rajai.
Basharat Bukhari acknowledged the activities of BHCRC and appreciated its missionary activities for the humanity.
He further appreciated the contributions and efforts made by Prof. Nassir Shabani who is the collaborator of this campaign and representative of Al Imaan foundation Mumbai, in making this event a success.

Referring to social services rendered by the people of Kargil, he said that every time he visits Kargil he learns something new and that adds to his knowledge. He announced an amount of Rs1 lac as a personal donation to BHCRC Kargil.
Zaffar Iqbal Minhas also hailed the campaign and described this event as an example to others. He also announced Rs 1 lac from his constituency fund.
Stressing on unity and whole-hearted cooperation from his side Anayat Ali requested the people to support Baqariya Center for making successful this mega project.
As a part of strengthening the existing health infrastructure BHC &RC donated one ventilator machine to CHC Sankoo.
At the conclusion the Chief Guest flagged off a team of technical staff at TFC ground to initiate the main program of screening cum vaccination in Shargole block on 20th October 2017.
