BandiporeForces on Tuesday called off search operation in Parray Mohalla of Hajin area of North Kashmirs Bandipora district after youth pelted stones on force personnel during the Cordon and Search Operation (CASO).
Local sources said that forces cordoned off the Parray Mohalla Hajin area in wee hours Tuesday after receiving inputs of the presence of militants in the area.
However, as the forces personnel were laying siege around the area, the local youth started throwing stones at the forces which was retaliated by tear gas shelling, triggering clashes; later on CASO was called off.
Pertinently, the government forces have been of late facing tough time while carrying out anti-militancy operations in Hajin area for past several months. (KNS)
