DodaFive members of a family were killed when a car they were travelling in rolled down a gorge in Doda district of Kashmir on Monday evening.
Police sources said that an Alto car on Monday evening skidded off the road and fell into the deep gorge at Gath road near Satsang Ghar Kashore Doda.
“The car was on its way from Doda to Mohalla area when the driver of the vehicle lost control over it”, he said.
In the mishap Bashir Ahmad Shah his wife and three children, died on the spot, the reports said.
The deceased were identified as Bashir Ahmed Shah , (44), son of Feroz Din Shah, his wife Fatima Begum (37) and their three children namely Zia Bashir (14) , Shaika Bano (17) and Nelofar (19) all residents of Shiva Asthan ,tehsil Mohalla Doda.
Bus overturns, 7 hurt
Seven people were injured on Monday in Jammu and Kashmir when a bus carrying them overturned in the Bari Brahmana area here, police said.
The bus from Sandi was headed to Jammu city. Some of the injured were said to be critical.
Those injured have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital in Jammu city, a police officer said. IANS
