SrinagarSafalo FC and J&K Bank XI won their Super Division and Premier Division matches respectively in State Football League-2017, a statement from Jammu and Kashmir Football Association said on Saturday.
In a Super-Division match played at Synthetic Turf TRC, Safalo FC beat State Football Academy (SFA) 2-0. Mohammad Altaf opened the account for the winning team while Niyaz Ahmad doubled the lead as SFA failed to find the net despite getting many a chance.
The Premier-Division match also played at Synthetic Turf TRC, J&K Bank thrashed Iqbal Sports 4-0 in a one sided affair. J&K Bank dominated the match right from the start and sustained the pressure throughout the 90-minutes of the game. Shahid Mushtaq scored two goals for the winning team while Urfan and Danish scored one goal each. Goutan was declared player of the match for his performance.
Meanwhile, B-Division league of the ongoing State Football League is already completed with IFC Nowgam winning the title and Noorbagh FC finishing as runners up. The A-Division League has reached to the semi-final stage with Novelty Blue, Jehangir Club, Fort Club Views and Novelty FC qualifying for seminal.

More than 50 percent match of the Super and Premier Division league have been completed till date. More than 500 football teams and clubs with over 12000 players and over 1500 team officials are participating in the mega event, the aim of which is to unearth the hidden talent across the State.
The event is being held across the 22 districts of the state these days and is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) under the auspices of State Sports Council and on the directions of All India Football Federation (AIFF).
Every day thousands of football fans watch the keenly contested matches not only in Srinagar, but in other district headquarters of Kashmir. At Srinagar’s Synthetic Turf Football Stadium, not even a single seat remains free in the evenings with football spectators from all corners of the city converging at the venue to support their favourite teams and the clubs.
