SrinagarIn order to streamline the functioning of private hospitals of Kashmir division, a team of senior officers from Directorate of Health Services, Kashmir (DHSK) headed by Deputy Director, Head Quarters (DDHQ), paid a surprise visit to SHIFA Medical Centre, Srinagar today at 10.15 am sharp and inspected all the sections of the hospital.
The team found a number of discrepancies/violations of guidelines in some sections and accordingly sealed Collection Centre, Laboratory Section, USG Room and one OPD room of Rheumatology.
The team comprised of two Assistant Directors, Chief Medical Officer, Srinagar and District Health Officer, Srinagar.
Director Health Services, Kashmir Dr Saleem ur Rehman said that the department is conducting regular inspections of private hospitals so that these hospitals adhere to the set norms/guidelines. (KNS)
