SrinagarDirector Agriculture Kashmir, Syed Altaf Aijaz Andrabi, Tuesday visited Spice Park to review the progress of work on this state of the art project at Dusoo Pampore.
The Director was briefed by officers of executing agencies and other concerned officers about different areas of the Park being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 37.81 crore.
It was given out that the project is near completion and will be handed over to the Department soon.
The Director impressed upon the concerned to complete the infrastructural works and landscaping of the Park in the stipulated timeframe.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director Agriculture Kashmir also said that the Park will not only help revive the traditional saffron industry in the Valley but will also revolutionize the entire process of cultivation, production and marketing of saffron.
Director Agriculture said that this Park would also provide the e-marketing facility to the farmers so that farmers can sell their product on an international platform.
