SrinagarJammu Warriors, Jammu Queens, Srinagar Power Hitters and Womens College MA Road Srinagar made their entry in the semi finals beating their respective opponents in quarter finals of State Cricket Academy Womens T-20 Championship played at Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar on Friday, a statement from State Cricket Academy said.
The first quater-final of the day between Ladakh Warriors and Jammu Warriors proved to be a no contest with the former getting bundled out for a nothing 16. Nadia Choudary was the star with the ball taking four wickets. Jammu Warriors chased down the target in just two overs with all its wickets intact. Nadia was given player of the match award for her four wicket haul.
In the second quarter-final of the day, Jammu Queens beat Jammu Stars by nine wickets. Batting first, Jammu Stars meandered to 36 for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Jammu Queens scaled down the target in just six overs with loss of just one wicket. Heena Mehra was the architect of one sided win taking three wickets that earned her player of the match award.
The third quarter final saw Srinagar Power Hitters beat Green Valley by ten wickets. Greeb Valley were bowled out for paltry 32 which was chased down by Srinagar Power Hitters without losing any wicket. Nusrat was adjudged player of the match.
Women’s College MA Road were fourth team tp qualify for the semis, beating WCC Baramulla quite easily in the fourth and last quater final of the day. WCC Baramulla were bowled out for 51 thanks to Irfana who took five wickets for Womens College Srinagar.
Women’s College MA Road reached the target in just five overs. Irfana was chosen player of the match for her match winning spell.
