SrinagarChief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti Wednesday directed the Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir to look into the issues of sewerage and drainage in the Srinagar city alongwith Deputy Commissioner, Srinagar and Commissioner, Srinagar Municipal Corporation and in this regard consult the local representatives for their views and comments.
The Chief Minister also directed the team of officers to look for identification of spots for construction of public convenience facilities in the city, particularly near places of public convergence like shrines, mosques, tourist spots, hospitals or other places.
The Chief Minister issued these directions during the review meeting of Srinagar District Development Board when many MLAs raised these issues.
It was informed in the meeting that public convenience facilities are being raised at 18 places in the city.
Minister for Education, Syed Altaf Bukhari; Minister of State for Housing & Urban Development, Asiea Naqash; all legislators of Srinagar district; senior officers of State Government; heads of several Departments were present in the meeting.
